SPRUCE PINE, N.C.— Harold Rhyne, age 91, of Bridgeview Road in Spruce Pine, the Minpro community, died Tuesday, December 8, 2020 at the Memorial Campus of Mission Hospitals in Asheville. Born on December 20, 1928 in Mitchell County, he was the son of the late Jess William and Effie Turbyfill Rhyne.

WASHINGTON, MO— Billy Eugene Shuffler, born December 27, 1929 in Forbes, NC, died November 28, 2020 in Washington, MO at the age of 90.  The son of Carrick Nelson Shuffler and Sallie Garland Shuffler, he was one of 5 children including Charles L.

BAKERSVILLE, N.C.— Joe Lee Young, age 95 of Hwy 226 North, Bakersville, NC went home to be with the Lord December 4, 2020. He was a native of Mitchell County, NC and the son of the late Roby and Nora Wilson Young. He was a member and chairman of Deacons at Roan Mountain Baptist Church.

BAKERSVILLE, N.C.— Verna Vivian Young Huskins, age 92 of Bakersville, NC went home to be with the Lord November 28, 2020. A native of Mitchell County, she was a daughter of the late James and Daisy Hall Young. Verna was a member of Lily Branch Baptist Church.

SPRUCE PINE, N.C.— Sharon Clifton Huskins of Deer Park Lake Road, Spruce Pine, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, December 1st, 2020 at her home surrounded by her loving family. A native of Caldwell County, she was the daughter of Joyce Moore Clifton and the late Bruce Clifton.

SPRUCE PINE, N.C.— Rich-ard Baker, 55, of Spruce Pine, went to his heavenly home on November 25, 2020.  He was preceded in death by his father, Richard H. Baker.
