BURNSVILLE, N.C. — Robert Wood, Jr., age 66, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 22nd, 2022, at Blue Ridge Regional Hospital.  A native of Naples, FL, he was a son of the late Robert Wood, Sr., and Doris Segerberg Wood.  He was also preceded in death by his stepmother, Esther Martin Wood.

MARION, N.C. — Walter Robert Hall, age 86, passed away Wednesday, June 8, 2022, at Rose Hill in Marion. Walter was born September 30, 1935, to the late Durward Hall and Mildred Bailey Hall. He served in the United States Airforce and worked a career for Honeywell Aerospace as an engineer.

MARION, N.C. — Mrs. Marine “Rene” Bell, age 91, of Marion, passed away Monday, May 30, 2022, at the Solace Center in Asheville. Rene was one of eleven children, born in Mitchell County on August 16, 1930, to the late Milton and Minnie Murphy Boone.

Irene Byrd, 98, went home to be with the Lord, Friday, June 3, 2022, at home surrounded by family. Born September 4, 1923 she was a native of Mitchell County and the Buladean community. Irene lived her life as a Godly woman who loved the Lord and her family.
