MARION, N.C. — Walter Robert Hall, age 86, passed away Wednesday, June 8, 2022, at Rose Hill in Marion.
Walter was born September 30, 1935, to the late Durward Hall and Mildred Bailey Hall. He served in the United States Airforce and worked a career for Honeywell Aerospace as an engineer. Walter liked to take hikes behind his cabin and his grandchildren were his treasure.
He also enjoyed keeping a garden and woodworking.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded by his wife Dania Hall; two brothers, Sonny Hall and Richard Hall; two sisters, Christine Keller and Laura “Sissy” Cox; and niece Joleta Wise.
Those left to cherish Walter’s memory are his daughter, Laura Anderson of Marion; and three grandchildren, Sean Anderson of Asheville, Erin Anderson of Charlotte, and Ryan Anderson of Charlotte.
A private graveside service will be held at the Bailey Cemetery in Penland, NC.
