Florence Mullinnix of Bakersville passed peacefully at the Solace Center Hospice facility in Asheville on Wednesday, November 2nd. Florence was born on June 30, 1921 in St. Petersburg, Florida.

David Dale 92, of Denver, N.C. went to be with the Lord Sunday, October 9th, 2022.  David was born September 28th, 1930, in Spruce Pine, N.C., to Fred and Agnes Washburn Dale, where he was one of 7 children. He graduated from Harris High School and attended Brevard College where he played football.

John M. Pendley, Jr., age 77, of Forest Hills Drive in Spruce Pine passed away Tuesday, October 25, 2022, at the Charles George VA Medical Center in Asheville. Born in Mitchell County he was a son of the late John, Sr.

SPRUCE PINE, N.C. — Christopher “Chris” Blanton, age 61, of Spruce Pine passed away Saturday, October 1st, 2022, at Johnson City Medical Center in Tennessee. He was the son of the late Mary Sybil Hardin and the late Fred Blanton. Chris was a noble and generous spirit.
