COLUMN: A strange time to start a new job

When I started at the News-Journal nearly a month ago, I was told a lot of what I would be reporting about isn’t “hard-hitting” news. There would be many articles about festivals, pizza parties at schools and perhaps a three-legged dog.

OBITUARY: David Toney

David Robert Toney passed away on March 2, 2020, from Alzheimer’s disease. Known by many as “Coach,” he lived a full life and left a legacy of generosity, kindness and humor. At each stop, he was blessed with great friendships he treasured the rest of his life.

Horses from 2019 neglect case still in need of homes
