BAKERSVILLE – The following arrests took place between Monday, March 30, and Friday, April 3, according to reports on file at the Mitchell County Sheriff’s Office:
CARLA JOLENE CARPENTER, 46, of 1012 Isaacs Branch Road, Newland, was arrested by Det. A. Beam for felony possession of methamphetamine, misdemeanor possession of schedule II controlled substance, misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia and failure to appear in court on misdemeanor probation violations. She was issued a $13,000 bond and scheduled to appear in court May 6.
Warren Douglas Jackson, 58, of 193 Jackson Lane, Plumtree, was arrested by Det. A. Beam for felony possession of methamphetamine, misdemeanor possession of schedule II controlled substance and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia. He was issued a $10,000 bond and scheduled to appear in court May 6.
Jail Record: MCSO is currently housing 35 inmates in McDowell County jail and prearranged detention facilities.
Calls for Service: MCSO had 66 calls for service between Monday, March 30, and Friday, April 3.
