SPRUCE PINE, N.C.— Tracy Lee McIntyre, II age 58 of Walnut Avenue in Spruce Pine passed away unexpectedly Thursday August 26th, 2021.  Born in Savannah Georgia he was a son of Julia McIntyre Begley and the late James Begley.

AKERSVILLE, N.C.— Shelby Jean Greene, 84, of Fork Mountain Rd, Bakersville, NC went home to be with the Lord August 25, 2021. She was the daughter of the late George and Gladys Whitson Ollis.

BAKERSVILLE, N.C.— Myrtle Butler age 72, of North Highway 226, Bakersville, NC went home to be with the Lord August 28, 2021. She was a native of Mitchell County, NC and a daughter of the late Glenn and Mae Mosley Banks. She was previously employed by American Thread in Marion, NC.

PIEDMONT, N.C.— Martha Jane McKinney (79), of Piedmont, left this earth on August 11, 2021, to watch over her family and friends from above. Martha was born on April 14, 1942, to James and Louise Wilmot in Middleborough, MA.  On July 1, 1960, Martha married the love of her life Wayne D.

BAKERSVILLE, N.C.— Margaret Ann Bryant Hoilman graduated to her heavenly home, August 28, 2021 from the residence of her daughter and son-in-law.  Born February 17, 1941, she was the daughter of Charles Bryant and Lorine and Joe Hoilman.

CHARLOTTE, N.C.—Jean Phillips, 90, of Stonington Lane, Charlotte, N.C., passed away January 16, 2021, after being hospitalized with COVID-19. She is survived by her son, David Phillips Huskins, and his wife, Betty, of Linville Falls, N.C.; grandson, Jonathan Spear Huskins, of Jefferson, N.C.
