Biddix earns pair of SEANC scholarships

    Mitchell High School graduate James Biddix earned a pair of scholarships from The State Employees Association of North Carolina, the group announced on Monday, Sept. 28. 

    Biddix was awarded the SEANC District 3 Scholarship ($500) and the SEANC Scholarship of $1,500. 

    Biddix is a freshman at East Tennessee State University. He is majoring in psychology with a sociology minor. 

    Biddix is interested in working in education with the United States Department of Defense and hopes to one day become a college professor. 

    James is the son of David and Marsha Biddix of Spruce Pine.
