Local golfers take home hardware during second annual Founders Day Tournament

    SPRUCE PINE — The team of Lane Rosenfield, Neal Kepner, Alex Pittman and Nick Westmoreland won the first place finish for the first flight Saturday, Aug. 15 during the second annual Founders Day Golf Tournament at Grassy Creek Golf and Country club. 

    The team of Drey Phillips, Greyson Stafford, Austin Mask and Jamison Burleson won first place in the second flight. 

    More than 100 golfers participated in the tournament, which raised money for the Billy Graham Evangelstic Association and Samaritan’s Purse. 

    BGEA Executive Vice President Ken Barun presented trophies to the winners.
