New dental clinic opens in Bakersville

BAKERSVILLE – There is a new dental clinic at the Bakersville Community Health Center.

During the last several months, Mountain Community Health Partnership (MCHP), transformed the annex in the Bakersville office into a dental clinic.

The clinic offers comprehensive dental services for patients of all ages, including cleanings, deep cleanings, fillings, extractions, partials, dentures, crowns, bridges, and root canals.

Dr. Alex Green, a native of Spruce Pine, is the Dental Director for the new clinic. Green received his Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) from the ECU School of Dental Medicine and is currently a Master of Public Health student at the UNC Gillings School of Global Public Health.

“[As] a Mitchell County native, opening this dental clinic is a dream come true,” Green said. “I truly believe MCHP is doing great things for the wellbeing of our community and I am thrilled to be a part of such a wonderful organization. I am very excited to be seeing patients and working with the folks to better their oral and overall health.”

The clinic will accept commercial insurance, Medicaid, and NC Health Choice and will also accept patients without dental insurance.
