LEDGER — Greenlee Primary School Principal Jason Hall and Gouge Elementary School Principal Colby Calhoun worked together over the summer to develop a safe way for students to enjoy all the fun of recess amid the ongoing pandemic.
The two came up with the idea of playground bags for each student.
Each student that returned to in-person learning for the 2020-21 academic year received a bag that contains items like sidewalk chalk, jump rope and a ball that they can take to the playground.
The playground bags are designed to help stop the spread of germs and keep students safe and healthy by minimizing the amount of contact on each item.
