Mandi Polly is the next executive director of the Mitchell County Chamber of Commerce, the organization recently announced.

Polly, a Mitchell County native, takes over for Patti Jensen who retired from the post in March. Polly previously worked under Jensen as the chamber’s membership services director. Following Jensen’s retirement, Polly moved to the interim executive director role before transitioning to the position full-time.

Polly holds a bachelor’s in business management from Mars Hill University. Polly and her husband Cecil have two daughters and one grandchild. The couple operates a local septic service.

Polly is passionate about her roots and said she looks forward to building more relationships with business owners and community members. She plans to focus her efforts on growth and building strong connections and partnerships.

“I love working with people and I hope to accomplish progress through teamwork,” Polly said. “I see so many amazing things evolving in Mitchell County. If everyone works together as one unit, we can achieve so much more.”

Polly plans to meet with business owners, county leaders and community members to hear their ideas and discuss how the chamber can help.

The Mitchell Chamber is a member-driven organization that serves its members by creating and sustaining a healthy economic climate. Polly and the chamber aim to support and promote local businesses.

“I know we all want the same thing— for Mitchell County to prosper,” Polly said. “I am humbled and excited by this opportunity to serve Mitchell County and the chamber members.”
