A food drive fueled by a Krispy Kreme fundraiser, donations from area businesses and three determined Mitchell High freshmen helped 66 local families during the holiday season.
Earlier this school year, Chloe Cook, Chanlee Gentry and Ivy Young (above) decided to tackle the Future Business Leaders of America Community Service Project. In addition to the service, the project includes a 15-page report that the students will present at the state competition in March.
Cook, Gentry and Young recently got together to pack boxes full of non-perishable food items and distribute the goods to families in the community who need it the most.
