MARS HILL – Kaylee Erin McMurray, of Spruce Pine, was inducted Nov. 1 into the North Carolina Epsilon Chapter 120 of Alpha Chi Honor Society at Mars Hill University in the fall semester of 2019 during a ceremony.

Alpha Chi is comprised of juniors and seniors with a GPA in the top 10 percent of their class. 

The society’s purpose is to promote academic excellence and exemplary character among college and university students and to honor those who achieve such distinction. North Carolina Epsilon Chapter 120 was installed at Mars Hill University in 1971. Alpha Chi National College Honor Society is active on nearly 300 campuses nationwide, whose chapters induct approximately 11,000 students annually.
