BAKERSVILLE — The race for Bakersville Town Council is the lone contested race in the next municipal elections in Spruce Pine and Bakersville in November.
Incumbents Jordon Baker and Charles Nash will vie for spots on the Bakersville Town Council while challenger Matthew Dale Staton represents the third choice on the ballot.
Incumbent Bakersville Mayor Charles “Chuck” Vines and incumbent Spruce Pine Mayor Darla Phillips Harding are both running unopposed.
Incumbents Larry McKinney and Jackie Rensink will run unopposed for spots on the Spruce Pine Town Council.
The municipal election is set for Tuesday, Nov. 2.
