BAKERSVILLE — Anita’s Atelier of Bakersville is on the move.
After two decades in downtown Bakersville directly across from the Historic Mitchell County Courthouse, local artist Anita Connelly is moving her gallery across town to the Cardinal Insurance building near Bowman Middle School.
The new location at 435 S. Mitchell Ave. in Bakersville is a stone’s throw from the former location at 14 N. Mitchell Ave. but the move was complicated by the fact that Connelly was also moving her residence from the previous building.
Connelly said the Cardinal Insurance team and help from friends made her move easier.
“I would like to thank all of my friends who turned out to help me with the actual move,” Connelly said. “Their loving support was greatly appreciated.”
