LEDGER — The Mitchell High School varsity volleyball team is still searching for its first win of the season after being edged 3-2 by visiting Mountain Heritage on Thursday, Dec. 17.
The Mountaineers (0-6) and Cougars were knotted up at two sets each but Mountain Heritage won the decisive fifth set.
Prior to the start of the game against Heritage, Mitchell honored its lone senior, Erika Gouge with a brief special ceremony.
Mitchell was at Madison on Monday, Dec. 21. Results were not available at press time.
The Mountaineers are slated to play at Smoky Mountain on Tuesday, Dec. 29 and at Polk County on Tuesday, Jan. 5.
