The Harris Girls’ basketball team defeated East Yancey 52-26 on Wednesday, while both the Bowman Bulldogs’ games and the Harris Boys’ games were rescheduled due to the recent bad weather.

The Lady Blue Devils jumped out to an early 8-1 lead on the Panthers and never looked back, leading 32-8 at the half. The second half was more of the same, with Harris dominating both sides of the ball in a runaway victory. Next up for the girls will be the second round of the WHM Conference Tournament, where they will presumably meet the Bowman Lady Bulldogs.

The second-round games will be held at Rosman High School, and have the potential to catapult either Harris or Bowman into the finals. These next games are definitely worth watching.
