BURNSVILLE, N.C.—Pauline Grindstaff Chrisawn, age 90, of Crabtree, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, November 20th, 2021, at her home surrounded by her loving family. A native of Mitchell County, she was a daughter of the late John and Katherine Grindstaff. She was also preceded in death by a son, Dennis Chrisawn; infant daughter, Linda Gail Chrisawn; daughter-in-law, Melinda Chrisawn; sister, Lola Winters, and brothers: Bob Grindstaff, Junior Grindstaff and Joe Grindstaff.
Pauline was a member of Crabtree Chapel Baptist Church who loved to clean house, remodel, cook, and was an avid reader. She will always be remembered as a loving wife, mother, and grandmother.
Left to cherish her memory is her daughter, Carolyn Price (John) of Culleoka, TN and Spruce Pine; sons: David Chrisawn (Patty) of Booneford and Jimmy Chrisawn of Crabtree; grandchildren: David Chrisawn (Debra), Kris Chrisawn (Keisha), Jon Chrisawn, Jake Chrisawn, Amanda Fulbright, Jennifer Price, April Buchanan (Buster) and Adam Banks; great-grandchildren: Jocelyn, Katelyn, Karter, Carleigh, Jacob, Brynleigh, Katherine, Christopher, Payton, and Sophia. Several nieces, nephews, cousins, and other extended family also survive.
Funeral Services were held at 2 p.m. on Friday, November 26th in the Chapel of Yancey Funeral Services. Rev. Dallas Renfro and Rev. Jason Kritz will officiate. Graveside services will follow in the Crabtree Chapel Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1 until 2 p.m. prior to the services at the funeral home.
