BAKERSVILLE - Henry Bruce “Pidge” Norman, 79, of the Snow Creek Community, Bakersville, NC, passed away on Monday, July 13, 2020 at his home surrounded by his family. He was the son of the late Willard and Lillie Thomas Norman. He was a member of the Snow Hill Baptist Church where he served as a deacon. In addition to his parents, Bruce  was also preceded in death by a sister, Hazel Norman, brothers, David and Phil Norman, and 3 grandchildren: Aaron, Jamie and an infant child. Bruce will always be known as a man who loved God, his family and friends, especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren, and he was an avid fisherman. Bruce owned and operated Norman Produce for many years.

Survivors include his wife, Betty Lou Willis Norman of the home; daughters, Lisa Chrisawn (Bobby), Tammy Shook (Dale) all of Bakersville and Connie McFalls (David) of Glen Alpine, NC; sister, Rosa Lee Ledford (Delaney) of Bakersville; grandchildren: John McFalls, James McFalls, Emily Shininder, Samuel Shook and Dekoda Chrisawn; great grandchildren: Anna, Gabriel, Mathias, Caroline, Arlyn and Jaxon.

Funeral services were held 2 p.m. Thursday, July 16, 2020 in the Snow Hill Baptist Church. Rev. Mark McKinney and Pastor Dean Honeycutt officiated. Burial followed in the Snow Hill Cemetery.
