SPRUCE PINE, N.C.— Genella Anglin Huskins, age 76, of Spruce Pine, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, Oct. 30, 2021, at her home. She was the daughter of the late Cecil Roy Anglin and Grace Irene Allen. Genella was also preceded in death by an infant brother; Ralph Anglin and brothers: Roy Lee Anglin and James “Jimmy” Anglin. She was employed at Baxter Healthcare for many years and made many friends while there. Genella enjoyed working in her flowers, cooking, canning, and spending time with her family. Her favorite thing to do was hunt for arrowheads. She was a member of Altapass Baptist Church and loved her family, friends, and her animals.

Surviving is her husband of 28 years, Bob Huskins; sons, Melvin Graham of Burnsville, and Darrell Graham of Marion; stepdaughter, Diane McKinney (Charlie) of Spruce Pine; grandchildren, Emily Graham, Jesse Graham, Julia Graham, Jonathan Graham, Haley Graham and McKenzie Graham; great-grandchildren, Madelain Moore, Gunner Pendley and Averie Hughes.  Several nieces, nephews, cousins and her very special caregiver, Penny Howell also survive.

  The family received friends from 1 until 2 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 4 in the Chapel of Yancey Funeral Service. Funeral services were held at 2  p.m. following the visitation at the funeral home. Rev. Tom Walker and Coy Wheeler will officiate. Burial will be at 10 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 5 in the Charlie Anglin Cemetery on Bakers Creek Road.
