HICKORY, N.C.— Mr. Fred Norman Burleson, 77, of Hickory, passed away on Friday November 26, 2021, at Frye Regional Medical Center, after a period of declining health.
Mr. Burleson was born January 25, 1944, in Mitchell County, a son of the late Frank and Ernestine Burleson. Fred was retired from HT Hackney, Co. as a forklift operator. He was a member of Solid Rock Baptist Church and a loving husband, father, and grandfather.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Glenda Burleson and a brother, Ed Burleson.
Surviving is his wife, Sherry Elmore Burleson of the home and three sons, Joey Burleson, Jeff Burleson and wife Amy and Chucky Burleson, and siblings, Ted (Diane), Virginia and Debbie. Also surviving are his three grandchildren.
A Service of Celebration was held 2:00 P.M. Monday November 29, 2021, at Solid Rock Baptist Church, Granite Falls, with Rev. Jerry Stine officiating.
The family received friends from 1 until 2:00 P.M. Monday at Solid Rock Baptist Church.
