A local team, made up of members of the Fitness Express gym in Spruce Pine, recently brought home a first-place banner from the Western North Carolina Charity Fire Truck Pull held at the WNC Ag Center.
The Fitness Express team fell early but responded by fighting back through the bracket in the double-elimination event.
The team, pictured, was Vic Burleson, Jadon Bailey, Carter Hoyle, Joe Hobson, John Jennings, Jeremy Carver, Briley Austin, Luis Velazquez and Jon Allen. The banner now hangs in the gym.
