Mitchell students experience different careers during special lunch event

Mitchell Career and Technical Education students recently learned about local career opportunities during lunch as part of Career Highlight Week.

The school welcomed guests to discuss their local careers and chat with students. They talked about a typical day at their job, what they like and dislike about their jobs and the education path to their career.

Brock Duncan and Ryan Cook talked to students about their jobs at Mitchell County Recreation.  Bing Crosby of Edward Jones talked about being a financial advisor.

Other guests included Becca Smith and Sierra Bryant of TRACTOR Food and Farm and registered nurse Brittany Pitman of Hospice of the Blue Ridge.
