Mitchell High theatre III honors students have been hard at work the last nine weeks to put together the first production of the season— Medium Rare, an uproarious farce about a very special problem encountered by new homeowners.

Harry and Bunny Polk get more than they bargain for when they move into their house.  Grandma Nina, a demanding and nerve-racking old lady, has decided to stay in the house after the rest of her family sells it and moves away. The fun begins at dinner that night when grandma orders a medium rare steak done just the way she likes it. Over the next few days, grandma holds a meeting of her Early Birds Club at 6 a.m., entertains an elderly gentleman and almost gets Harry fired from his job.

The three-act show is approximately 75 minutes long. Medium Rare is rated G and is appropriate for audiences of all ages. The show opens at Kathy Miller Auditorium at Mitchell High School on Saturday, Nov. 5 at 7 p.m. Tickets will be general admission and sold at the door beginning one hour before showtime. Tickets are $6 for students and $12 for adults. Children five and under are free.
