The Spruce Pine Alien Festival is set to land in town on June 10 and is bringing a star-studded cast of experts and researchers to serve as guest speakers.
Speakers will include Mike Bara of History Channel’s “Ancient Aliens”, Thom Reed Berkshire who had a UFO encounter with his family in the 1960s, aerospace engineer David Adair, author and radio personality Brooks Agnew, Rhiannon Alley from Travel Channel’s “Star of the Sky” and ufologist Brittany Barbieri.
The guest speakers will cover their own history with UFOs and touch on local sightings and the recent shoot-downs of unidentified flying objects over Alaska and Canada.
Bara will serve as the headline speaker. Attendees can get a signed book and meet him.
Bara is an aerospace engineering consultant, lecturer and author. He’s currently working on a documentary called “Moon Rising.”
Barbieri is a ufologist, cryptozoologist and paranormal investigator who has been investigating for two decades.
Reed is one of the more vocal witnesses of the 1969 Berkshire UFO. Agnew is a multi-patented engineer & six-time Amazon best-selling author of nine books. He’s also a lecturer and has been featured in several documentaries.
Alley works with Reed as a partner with UFO XPO, which just held an event in Roswell, New Mexico. Adair plans to share scientific information about medicines, space stations, electronics, micro-gravity processing and more.
Tickets are required to hear the speakers. The speaker party is set for Bierdock on Lower Street on June 10 from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. with the Main Speaker Conference to follow at the Cross Street Commerce Center from 1-4 p.m.
Tickets give guests wristbands for the private party and the conference. Attendees can meet and mingle with the speakers at the party and get autographs.
Early bird tickets online are $40 per person. Tickets will be on sale at the festival for $50 each if they aren’t sold out before. Tickets include beer and appetizers at Bierdock. For organizer Sherry Sautner of Spruce Pine Southern Shows, the speakers are one of the most exciting parts of the festival, which will also feature kids’ activities, contests, music, vendors and more.
The News-Journal will publish more information about the festival as it approaches.
