We are sad to announce the passing of Virginia (Jenny) H. Woody and Arthur
(Art) F. Woody Glen Allen, Virginia. Jenny passed on December 12, 2022, with her husband Art at her side.
Art passed on December 17, 2022, surrounded by his family. They are predeceased by their parents, (Floyd and Leila Woody; Margaret and Charles T. Hamlin, Jr.) and their daughter Anna Laura Woody. Art is also predeceased by his sister Josephine (Jo) Woody and his brother Hugh Eugene (Gene) Woody.
Art is survived by his brother Jimmy Woody and wife Lynn, and his sister-in-law Patsy Woody. Jenny is survived by her brother Charles Thomas (Tom) Hamlin III and his partner Donald Hayne.
Art and Jenny have one son, Charles (Alan) Woody and wife Michelle Duesberry-Woody.
They have two grandchildren Dillon Woody and wife Olivia, and Noel Kounse and her husband Zach.
They have one great-granddaughter Eliza Woody.
Both were active in their church, The First Church of Christ, Scientist in Richmond, Virginia.
They were patrons of the arts and enjoyed visiting museums worldwide. They also enjoyed travel and spending time with their family.
They donated to many charities.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that contributions be made to a charity that they donated to regularly, Feed More or your local food bank.
