Georgia Wilson Davis, age 89, of Fairview Church Road in Spruce Pine, the Bent community, passed away Tuesday, November 17, 2022 at the Greens of Spruce Pine.
Born on February 5, 1933 in Yancey County, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Pearl Woody Wilson. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Russell Davis who passed away in 2001. She was also preceded in death by a grandson, Chris Metcalf, a great grandson, Ben Cole, III, a sister, Bertha Trivette and a brother, Jesse Wilson.
Georgia was a member of the Fairview Baptist Church in Spruce Pine. She loved working in her flowers and enjoyed quilting. She also loved spending time with her family including all of her grandchildren.
Left to cherish her memory is her daughters; Gail Metcalf of Spruce Pine; Dorothy Barnett of Spruce Pine; Cathy Pitman and husband, Greg of Spruce Pine and Vickie Davis and husband, Randy of Spruce Pine; her sons; Johnny Davis and wife, Brenda of Meridianville, AL and Gary Davis and wife, Vicky of Hazel Greene, AL; her brothers; Paul Wilson of Charlotte and Floyd Wilson of Spruce Pine; and twelve grandchildren, twenty eight great grandchildren and ten great-great grandchildren.
The family respectfully requests the honor of your presence at the funeral service for Georgia Davis on Sunday, November 20, 2022 at 3:00 pm in the Chapel of Webb Funeral Home. A time to support the family, share memories and receive friends will be on Sunday, November 20, 2022 from 2:00 pm until 3:00 pm in the funeral home chapel. Interment will be in the Fairview Baptist Church Cemetery in Spruce Pine.
