SPRUCE PINE, N.C. — John Patrick Casey, Jr., 67, of Spruce Pine, NC, went to be with the Lord on January 30, 2022, in Asheville, NC, surrounded by his family and endowed in never-ending love. He was born August 25, 1954, in Waterbury, CT, the son of John P. Casey, Sr. and Joan (Long) Casey, who preceded him in death. His battle with cancer in recent months showed his courage and strength in facing life’s challenges. Despite the pain, John came out a hero and stayed strong until the end.
John is survived by his wife, Patricia A. Casey, his daughter, Brittany L. Casey, and his sons, Sean P. Casey and his wife, Becca F. Casey, and Brandon L. Casey and his wife, Kellyn M. Casey. John is also survived by his sister, Kari Jokinas, and brothers, Kevin Casey, and Brian Casey, all of CT, and his brother, Darren Casey, of FL.
John also leaves behind many nieces and nephews. John spent his life pursuing tool and die making, owning, and operating P & J Tire Sales and Service, and building his dearly beloved family. John met his soul mate, Patricia A. Casey, in Edgewater, FL, where they created a loving family and spent a joyous 28 years of wonderful marriage before his passing. John will be honored at First Presbyterian Church of Spruce Pine on Wednesday, February 2, 2022, at 1:00 P.M.
