SHREVEPORT LA— George Duncan passed away on November 4,2020 in Shreveport, Louisiana. Born September 26, 1933 in Spruce Pine, North Carolina. He was survived by Martha Duncan, spouse; two sons, George Duncan, Jr. (Ellen) and Dr. John Duncan (Judy) and grandchildren: Graham Duncan (Sue-Min), Quinlan Duncan, Amy Stier (Scott), Jenifer Brown (Tyler), and Melanie Lavo (Dr. Patrick); and great grandchildren: Abigail Stier, Ethan Stier, Luke Stier, Brooke Brown, Barrett Brown, and Savannah Lavo.
He was preceded in death by parents Claude and Ruth Duncan and sisters Mildred and Melba Duncan.
George served in the United States Air Force. He worked for the FAA as an Air Traffic Controller in Shreveport, LA (Barksdale Air Force Base), Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport, TX (DFW Airport), and Oklahoma City, OK for 36 years.
