Carpenter of Spruce Pine; her grandsons, Owen and Avery Gilley of Spartanburg, SC; her brother, Steve Carpenter and wife, Susie of Spruce Pine; her nieces, Vanessa Hawes and husband, Dave, and Elizabeth Patterson; and her aunts, Peggy Hodge, Edna Vess, and Louise Duncan.
