On May 5, Dimple Louise Buchanan took her last peaceful breath and left this beautiful world. She was a strong, loving woman who touched many lives with her warm gentle soul. She was a great wife, mother, and “mamaw” to hundreds.
Dimple is survived by her husband of 61 years, Homer of Spruce Pine, three sons, Donnie Norwood of Lincolnton, NC, Galen Buchanan of Spruce Pine NC and Terry Buchanan of Mission Viejo, CA. She had 14 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild.
Dimple was born in Newland, NC on Sept.3rd, 1939 to Earl and Virgie Mckee Banner. She had five brothers and four sisters.
She is preceded in death by her daughter, Leisa Jones, her brother Winston Banner and both parents.
Memorial services will be held on Sunday, May 9th, 2 pm at First Freewill Baptist Church on Tempie Mt. Rd in Spruce Pine.
