Resident scares off intruder with gun
The Mitchell County Sheriff’s Office is seeking information in relation a reported break-in in Bakersville last week.
At around 7:30 a.m. Thursday a man reportedly kicked in the door of a residence near the Bakersville Recycling Center.
The unidentified man entered the home, and the homeowner reportedly pointed a gun at him, causing the suspect to run off.
The suspect is described as having a slim build, and was wearing a black hoodie, boots, some type of glasses, and old blue jeans at the time.
