Ruth McGee Williams, age 96, of McGee Road in Spruce Pine, the Estatoe community passed away Saturday, November 26, 2022 at the Greens of Spruce Pine.
Born on May 23, 1926 in Swain County, she was the daughter of the late Kelly and Maude Gillespie McGee. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, James ‘Zealand’ Williams. Also preceding Ruth in death was her brothers; Clifford, Earl, Wilburn, Eddie, Luther, and Gilbert McGee and her daughter; Beverly Kay Woody.
Ruth was a member of the Liberty Hill Baptist Church. She enjoyed working in her flowers and plants of all kinds. She also enjoyed traveling the back roads.
Left to cherish her memory are numerous nieces and nephews; two grandsons; Jason and Justin and one great grandson, Rylan.
Graveside services and interment will be on Monday, November 28, 2022 at 2:00 pm in the Liberty Hill Baptist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Brent Frady officiating.
