Georgia Sue Phillips, 84, of Sherrill’s Ford, passed away peacefully at home Saturday, Feb. 1, 2020. She was born June 2, 1935, to Clarence and Pearl Gouge Greene.

Wilma Burleson Beam, 82, passed away peacefully at home Tuesday, Jan. 28, 2020, surrounded by her loving family. She was born Sept.

Jean  Willis, 83, longtime resident of Bakersville, died Saturday, Jan. 11, 2020, in Spruce Pine, at the age of 83 after a period of declining health.

Bruce Ray Silver, 63, of Daytona Beach, Florida, died Dec. 31, 2019. 

He was born Sept. 28, 1956, in Spruce Pine, the son of Robert and Maude Silver. 

Robert L. Milton, 68, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 7, 2020, after a lengthy battle with COPD. The youngest of three born to Lawrence E.

Kameron Wayne Wilson, 20, of the Penland Community, passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, Jan. 1, 2020, due to injuries sustained in an automobile accident.

Robert Thomas Staubitz, 85, of Bakersville, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 1, 2020, at St. Joseph Hospital in Asheville.
