Jackie George Hoilman, 79, of McKinney Cove Road, Bakersville, went home to be with the Lord Wednesday, Nov. 7, 2018. He was a native of Mitchell County and a son of the late Milton and Polly Yelton Hoilman. He was retired as a self-employed roofer and farmer.
Survivors include two daughters, Pamela Honeycutt (Dustin), of Unicoi, Tennessee, and Paula Doan (Paul), of Bakersville; and four grandchildren, Josh, Jeremy and Jared Doan, and Ava Honeycutt.
He was preceded in death in addition to his parents by his wife, Ethel Banks Hoilman; a brother, Bud Hoilman; and a sister, Ruby Jones.
Funeral services were 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 10, 2018, in the chapel of Henline-Hughes Funeral Home with Ronnie Gouge officiating. The family received friends two hours before the service. Interment followed the service at Bailey Cemetery on John Sparks Road.
