David Jeffrey Glenn, 64, of Marion, passed away Sunday, Dec. 9, 2018, at Spartanburg Regional in South Carolina after a two-year battle with cancer. A native of Spruce Pine, he was born July 20, 1954, to the late Claude and Marie Collis Glenn.
Jeff loved to fish, go boating and play golf. He was an avid Duke basketball fan. He loved his family, especially his grandchildren, with who he spent most of his time. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by his wife of 22 years, Wanda Glenn; three children, Chris Bradley, Nancy Keith (Casey) and Cyndi Williams (Jared); and one sister, Claudia Gage (Lanny). Also surviving Jeff are his grandchildren, Maya Keith, Lily Williams, Laney Williams, Gage Bradley and Asher Keith; and many nieces and nephews.
A funeral service to celebrate Jeff’s life was 11 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 13, 2018, at Beam Funeral Service with the Rev. Donnie Bryant officiating. The family received friends one hour before the service at the funeral home. Interment took place following the service at Spruce Pine City Cemetery.
