Greene completes first season at AWC

Former Mitchell baseball standout Justin Greene has finished his first season as a member of the Arizona Western College Matadors.
Greene played in 64 games as a freshman and batted .345 with 12 home runs and 53 RBIs. He scored 46 runs and stole 10 bases for the 49-16 Matadors. The team lost 4-3 in the West District finals to the College of Southern Idaho in 11 innings.
In the fourth inning of that game, the Matadors started to rally after both sides were scoreless through three innings. With two outs, Greene hit a home run to left-center field to give Arizona Western a 1-0 lead.
