Reward offered after store vandalized twice
BAKERSVILLE – The owners of a local restaurant are offering a $100 reward for information leading to the arrest of a person caught on camera committing acts of vandalism.
Beth Rhinecker, the manager of Bonnie and Clyde’s Drive-In at 2660 Highway 226 North in Bakersville, said the restaurant has been vandalized twice since Oct. 23 and she believes the same person is responsible.
Halloween decorations were stolen from in front of the building Monday, Oct. 23, Rhinecker said, and on Halloween night a man was caught on the restaurant’s surveillance cameras egging the building and stealing more decorations.
Anyone with information is urged to call the Mitchell County Sheriff’s Office at 828-688-3982.
