No. 3 Grill now open at Grassy Creek Golf and Country Club
SPRUCE PINE – A new restaurant is now open at Grassy Creek Golf and Country Club.
Co-owners Jenna Barker and Angie Marlowe are operating No. 3 Grill at the country club’s restaurant space. Following several soft opening meals, the pair officially opened the restaurant to the public in late February.
The restaurant’s dinner menu features burgers, seafood, steak, pasta dishes, chicken, salads and appetizers. The menu also contains several types of desserts including an apple dumpling dish and chocolate cake.
No. 3 Grill is open Tuesday through Sunday. The restaurant is open for lunch from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. Tuesdays and Wednesdays, and 11 a.m.-9 p.m. Thursdays and Fridays. No. 3 Grill operates from 4 p.m.-9 p.m. on Saturdays and 11 a.m.-3 p.m. Sundays.
Barker, who worked at the country club restaurant when it housed Twisted Laurel, said bringing a full-fledged restaurant back to the country club offers something unique for the community and something familiar for her.
Twisted Laurel closed its doors for the final time in late 2017. The Grassy Creek Grille, which featured a limited menu of sandwiches and refreshments, started operating at the country club restaurant space this past summer.
“I’m pretty familiar with this place,” Barker said. “I have grown to know the people that come in regularly. There wasn’t much here last season and I know people missed that.”
Marlowe said she is eager to see the restaurant open and begin to serve the community.
“We’re excited,” Marlowe said. “It’s a dine-in restaurant. It’s a little upscale, but it’s good for couples or people with kids, and everyone is welcome.”
