Labor Day Weekend events
The “10 Friends in Their Element” art show and sale is 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 1, and Sunday, Sept. 2, at the TRAC Gallery Upper Level in Spruce Pine.
Terry McKinney, Eddie Graham and The Country Heritage Band featuring vocalist Val Sterns will be in concert from 7-9:30 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 1, at The Orchard at Altapass. Tickets are $10 at the door.
A reception for the exhibit “Not to be Toyed With: Exploring the Art of the Doll” is 5-7 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 1, at the TRAC Gallery in Spruce Pine.
The Orchard at Altapass is having a Labor Day Family Picnic beginning at 10:30 a.m. Monday, Sept. 3. Bring an ample covered dish and get in free, otherwise admission is $15. There will be live music by Crossfire, Town & Country, and Terry McKinney and Eddie Graham as well as a performance by the Barnburner Cloggers.
A benefit cruise-in for Nick and Natasha Hullet is 5-8 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 1, at Fire & Ice Snowballs and Ice Cream, 231 Skyview Circle in Spruce Pine. The event is a fundraiser to help offset the costs of Natasha’s cancer treatments.
