SPRUCE PINE, N.C. --Juda Gaye “Judy” Sullins passed away peacefully at her home Sunday, January 10, 2021 surrounded by the love of her family. 

Born on August 13, 1940 in Mitchell County, she was the daughter of the late Carter and Lora Styles Sullins. She was also preceded in death by her beloved sister, Toni Sullins Buchanan. She was a member of the Altapass Church of God and was retired form Coates American. 

Judy was a wonderful mother, granny, and sister; a dear friend to many; a beautiful singer; an amazing cook; and above all a woman of great faith. She constantly reassured those around her not to worry because she knew in whose hands the situation was in. This is a source of immeasurable comfort to those who are left to cherish her memory. 

Left to cherish her memories are her; sister Patricia Sullins Mann; four children; Athenia, Aaron, Alethea, and Samantha; eight grandchildren; Ashley, Joy, Chanda, Brooke, Damian, Tyler, Trevan, and Noah; her granddaughter-in-law; Tonia Harris; eight great-grandchildren; Aubrey, Madison, Tanner, Kenadie, Rylee, Trinity, Malachi, and Baleigh; nephews; Rodney, Marty, Darren, and Pete; special friend; Jean Skinner; as well as numerous extended family members and friends and her church family at Altapss Church of God. 

A time to support the family share memories and receive friends will be on Thursday, January 14, 2021 from 11 am until 12 noon at the Altapass Church of God. The funeral service will be on Thursday, January 14, 2021 at 12 noon at the Altapass Church of God with Rev. Steve Davis officiation. Burial will be in the Chapman Cemetery.
