KINGSPORT, TN - Anna Mae Silver Thomas, 84 of Ridgeline Drive, passed away Thursday, June 26, 2014 at Holston Valley Medical Center. She was a native of Mitchell County, and a daughter of the late Gordon Silver and Geneva Buchanan Silver Gouge. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Oscar Thomas; and a daughter, Teresa Lynn Thomas. She was a member of Bethel Presbyterian Church in Kingsport and a volunteer with Meals on Wheels and Shepherds Center. She was retired as a teacher assistant with Kingsport City Schools.

Survivors include two daughters, Connie Perry (Glenn), and Karen Boatright (Bill), all of Kingsport; one sister, Linda Miller Ray of Asheville; three sisters-in-law, Herma Howell of Spruce Pine, Pauline Livingston of Burnsville, and Carolyn Livingston of Bakersville; two grandchildren Jonathan Perry (Tracy), and Jennifer Watson (Jeremy); and one great-grandchild, Adele Perry.

Funeral services were held Sunday, June 29, at 3 p.m. in the chapel of Henline-Hughes Funeral Home in Bakersville with Vernon Buchanan officiating. The family received friends one hour prior to the service. Interment followed in Kona Cemetery.
