SPRUCE PINE — Bobby Vernon Lee, age 90, of Azalea Lane in Spruce Pine, the Swiss Pine Lake community, passed away Wednesday, December 21, 2022 at the home of his daughter, Janet in Bakersville.
Born on March 6, 1932 in Mt. Vernon, NC, he was the son of the late Albert C. and Pauline Vernon Lee. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his wife, Joan Roberts Lee who passed away in 2012 a granddaughter, Amy Aldridge and his sister, Geraldine Lee.
Bobby was a member of the Spruce Pine First Baptist Church and was veteran of the U.S. Army and served during the Korean War.
In Spruce Pine, he was the owner of Lee’s Tax and Accounting.
He loved reading and studying his bible, spending time with his family, particularly his grandchildren and camping.
Left to cherish his memory is his daughter, Janet Ronshausen and husband, Rodney of Bakersville; his granddaughter, Shelia Guimonds; his great grandchildren; Jayden Ray Guimonds, Gage Guimonds and Kenzy Reisterer; and his sister, Carol.
The family respectfully requests the honor of your presence at the funeral service for Bobby Lee on Wednesday, December 28, 2022 at 2:00 pm at Spruce Pine First Baptist Church with Dr. Rocky Branch officiating.
A time to support the family, share memories and receive friends was on Wednesday, December 28, 2022 from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm at the church. Interment will be in the Sylvan Abbey Memorial Park in Clearwater, FL.
