The 2023 North Carolina Rhododendron Queen and Junior Queen were crowned this past week during the annual NC Rhododendron Pageant, part of the Rhododendron Festival in Bakersville.
Pictured are the newest queens Reese Brinckman (left, Junior Queen) and Alora Wilson (Queen). In the Queen Division, Eavan Smith was first runner-up.
Gracie Houser won the Congeniality Award and Smith won the Swimsuit Award. Wilson won the Talent, Interview and Evening Gown Awards.
In the Junior Division, Cassidy McHone was first runner-up. Jayda Rocchi won the Congeniality Award and McHone won the Talent Award. Brinckman took Interview and Talent Awards.
Former Rhododendron Queens were on hand to crown the newest queens.
