Four Mitchell High Future Farmers of America students recently experienced life like it was in the past during a retreat to The Center for Pioneer Life in Burnsville.

FFA president Faith Garland, vice president Elijah Laws, secretary Katie Duncan and treasurer Marianna Hudgins joined CTE teacher Chad Huggins on the trip across the county border.

The FFA officers spoke with Geraldine Plato of The Center for Pioneer Life. She described some of the things going on at the center.

During their visit, the officers also enjoyed a picnic on the property. The officers and Huggins also started the process of planning the program of activities for the MHS FFA Club for the 2022-23 academic year.

The Center for Pioneer Life is located at 134 Joe Young Road, Burnsville. Visit pioneerlife.org for info.
