Edna Allen, 76, of Lenoir, went home to be with the Lord Thursday, April 9, 2020, at Caldwell Hospice and Palliative Care in Hudson. It is especially hard since no one could go to be with her due to the virus and staying in place during her hospitalization. She was a wonderful wife, mother of three, grandmother and loved her family dearly.
She was the daughter of Naomi and Ralph Fryar. She loved God and church where she loved to sing. She spent countless years as a barber in North Carolina and Florida.
She is survived by her husband, Tally Allen; her children and their spouses, daughters, Lynn (Patrick) Hollifield and Carrie (Fred) Jones; a son, John (Marie) Sanders; her grandchildren, Taylor Sanders, Frederick Jones, Leatha Sanders, Douglas Sanders and Nickolas Sanders; and her brother, Calvin (Ruth) Fryar.
We love and will miss you dearly.
Due to the virus and stay-at-home order a celebration of life service will be at a future date.
