Greenlee Primary second-graders, with the help of Sibelco staff, recently assembled and painted bird boxes.

As a partner with the Wildlife Habitat Council, Sibelco North America initiates several projects to encourage wildlife conservation and education, including its Bird Identification Educational project with Greenlee students.

In addition to building boxes, students learned about local birds via an educational presentation and included activities.

After the education and hands-on portions, Sibelco staff provided pizza, snacks and custom T-shirts for students and staff.

After the event, students wrote thank you cards to the Sibelco staff. The teachers also expressed their thanks to Sibelco.

Through the project, students learned more about different species of local birds in the area and Sibelco reinforced its commitment to the community and the environment.
